There is minimal evidence that second hand smoke causes lung damage.

For smokers it takes several years of smoking before any testing shows lung damage.

Translation... any test is a waste of your time & money...

You'll never know for sure but you can talk to your doctor about it. The seeds of cancer can lie quitely for decades. I inhaled second-hand smoke for years from my parents as a lot of kids did who were born in the sixties and seventies.

Well, growing up around people who smoke surely doesn't do your lungs a whole lot of good. At one point my mother smoked, and my aunt, uncle and grandfather have smoked as long as I can remember. I also lived in an area with some air pollution, and that is where my asthma comes from.
So especially if you already have respiratory problems, second hand smoke can make your symptoms and condition worse.

About the only way to test the lung damage is the pulmonary function test.

I dunno i seem to disagreee second hand smoke does no damage. WE ahd family friend were teh male was a heavy smoker. His wife however never smoked. He died of lung cancer and his wife died less than a year later. Both were attributed to his smoking. IN fact here lungs were in teh same condition as if she had been smoking for 30 years.
