Is there a still a wii shortage?

So I was shopping around for other stuff and noticed that both circuit city and target had 1-3 in stock. Is it like that in your area too? Is the era of wii scalping over?

I'm waiting for the next generation system that Nintendo is already working on.

Was the same last year, demand died down over the summer months. Just wait until Christmas approaches, I wouldn't be surprised if they became the hot holiday item for the 3rd year in a row.

I have heard conflicting stories. I know they are available in my area, and as such there are no CL ads for $400 Wiis. I have heard from my friends in Ohio that they are still hard to find. Soldering a mod chip to them, on the other hand, is quite easy.
