Is there a Star Wars Battlefront out for the 360?

My 10 year old's Xbox croaked and now he's unable to play his copy of Xbox BFII on his 360. And of course he's asking for a BF to play on his 360 for Christmas.

They haven't come out with a BF for the 360 yet, have they?

nope.

A new backwards compatibility update is expected sometime this month. Maybe BFII will be on there. <shrugs>

Queasy: Thx, was not aware of that.

Can we still get the update without a high-speed internet connection?

Nope. You need Xbox Live as far as I'm aware.

FishTaco: Thx for the link. Can't open it right now because I'm at working and they block all gaming sites and much more.

So...I would need to burn it to CD-ROM or DVD?

You can burn it to either.

Also, Starwars Battlefront 1 and 2 are already on the backward compatibility list.

FishTaco: Hmm...so you're saying their 360 should play this title without any updates?

IIRC, the Xbox 360 has to find the patch for the game to play it.

You still have to do the update. The 360 only installs BC updates for the games you own. Not all of them.

Either way, the unit has to be updated to run the game, right?
