Is there a speed difference between nForce2 400 & nForce2 400 IGP?

Assembling a mATX machine for my friend.

I know that nForce2 400 is the fastest solution for AMD. Will there be a speed difference between nForce2 400 and nForce2 400 IGP, even if the integrated graphics is not used?

Thanks,

The north bridge is the same but the south bridge has the Integrated Graphics Processor. So it is a shared memory architecture, which means it has to use of system RAM for Video. This usually means a performance hit, as it is inefficient and necessarily compromises word width. The dual-channel architecture may get around this, but I have never tried it that way.

Still to decide which matx mobo to go for!
So, I guess if I disable video, I can expect similar performance as that of nf2 400 even from the one with integrated video.

No, the video processor is on the northbridge, and if you do use the integrated graphics, dual channel RAM is your friend.
