...inside of a shower?

In case anyone is wondering (doubt it), I (easily, surprisingly) put up the new curved shower curtain rod, but there are some random holes in the drywall around the shower that I want to fill since I just wanna get everything done at once.

Anyway, do I need a certain type (water proof or something?) of spackle to fill in the holes in the drywall since it's inside of a shower?

Thanks!

Thanks, hopefully this stuff isn't too expensive.
Is very cheap, like just a few dollars and extremely easy to put in. Also very easy to sand. Also, you can keep it for years and when it starts to dry out a little you can reconstitute with a tiny bit of water.

Depending on the size of the hole you might need to use drywall tape and put spackle over the tape.

Just pick one that says it is non shrinkable and is intended for a moist area.

Unless you have LARGE holes to fill, get a small (1/2 pint) container of pre-mixed acrylic spackle at Home Depot/Lowes/ other hardware store for about $4-$5.
Even with a small container like this, I always end up throwing away more than I use because it hardens in the jar before I use it all. (after 3-4 years)

If you do this I think you'd want all purpose drywall mud because it's way stronger and also adhesive. Spackle isn't really intended for tape as far as I know.
