Is there a software that allows you to map keyboard keys/functions to your mouse buttons?

My Logitech MX518 has three small, non-standard buttons near the scroll wheel and I'd like them to do something. I've tried the Logitech Setpoint 4.0 software/drivers and they don't work, meaning that the software installs but I do not see the usual menus to change the functionality of my mouse. It doesn't seem like I'm the only one either, Logitech's forums seemed a bit full of complaints around the same issue.

EDIT: I think I am going to try an older version of the drivers per this thread from Logitech's FTP.

you probably already know this but those buttons are quick scroll and window toggle buttons. as for the set point software, I have it installed for my MX518 in Vista and it works fine, for example i have the window toggle button set to close the current window (alt + F4, dont hit it while playing a game) I think my driver version is the one that came on the disc with my mouse over 8 months ago, so a drive downgrade may be the trick for now.

odd that 518 isn't showing, my mx700/1000 both show all the buttons for assignment even without uberoptions installed. i just use them for home/end and f5:)
good for web pages and binding in games
