Suppose I want to calculate how long it'd take me to download a file at a certain speed, is there a program for this?

Do you have a calculator?
;)
Wait, I think windows comes with one!

Actually I believe that the netscape dload manager will give you a estimation.

But personally I think doing the math yourself is easier.

Suppose my connection can download at 150KB/s and I want to download a 10MB file..

divide 10,000KB / 150KB/S = 66 seconds (Well 10MB isn't exactly 10,000KB technically, but who cares ;))

EASY!

dl time =

((file size in KBytes)/(DL speed according to Windows))/60

In minutes, of course.

You don't have to press the buttons with the mouse, you can use the number pad...

why not use a DL proggie like Gozilla/Getright/ download accelerator, if the filesize can be detected it will give a rough estimate while DLing of the time to DL,... plus these proggies usually have file resuming and sectional Dling... good features

Geez, write yourself a VB program. It'd take you all of 10 minutes. Or buy a pocket calculator.

Can't do it here, but I have VB at home. The other option would be to have Killbat write one for you, I'm sure he'd do it for a modest prize.
