I bought a pair of headphones and after a year the sound only come out of the left ear. Is there a guide on how to fix it, or should I just buy another pair (which isn't cheap either)?

Depends on the price of the original headphones as to if they're worth it or not. A lot of times companies will use this crappy wire that's half actual metal wire and half insulator inside to add strength to it, so soldering wiring can be a pain with them.

If they're $50 or under, easier to get a new pair, unless it's a really simple fix (new plug or something). Also, a lot of places usually offer some sort of replacement option for like $3-$5 for a few years, if they go bum get a new pair.

I fixed my Sennheisers twice. Once I opened up one of the ear pieces to fix a contact, the second time to replace the cable that connects to both ear pieces. So yes, headphones are repairable, but it depends on your headphones.

THey are Sony MDR-EX71SL's from Amazon, do I don't think I can get a replacement, right? I mean these are the same guys that didn't provide any replacement earbuds after they fell off.

How do you replace the cables? I think my problem is in the Y connector of the head phones.. you know what I mean? THe part where the wire seperates into two wires for each ear.

Well my headphones allow you to simply pull that cable right out. It has tiny plugs in the ear piece. If yours doesn't, I'd assume it would be much, much harder to accomplish.
