I'm working on a web-based MicroATX/Small Form Factor component database right now, if there's enough interest we can add reviews also, though the database will allows users to add their own reviews. Given all the other stuff that's going on (real job, family, etc.) it might be a couple more weeks though a lot of it is done.

I'm interested as well. I would like to go micro, but have no clue as to who builds the better board.

Looks like Shuttle migth be one to look at. They are BIG on the small form factor right now, even the Flex-atx boards.

If you're interested in an AMD system, check out the epox ep-8khm. Nice full featured little board, very easy to set up, and the one I have has been very stable so far. Not much in the way of overclocking features, but it will accept very large HSF's, including the Alpha 8045, if you're willing to cut off a corner (2 pins & 1 fan mount screw) They also have the ep-8kmm, same basic critter with integrated lan and video. Also has an agp slot.

My 8khm actually does suspend-to-ram, it's the first system I've built that will. Nice feature- the box is absolutely silent when not in use, but comes up right where you left it very quickly.

Hope to get some pics up this weekend.....

Asus makes a P4 microboard that's supposedly very good

i've got a ECS l4s5mg. same board as the shuttle ms-51n.

quite a nice board

supports 533 bus, has built in video, ddr2700 , built in lan, sound, etc. $49 newegg refurb. great huh.

can do 4:3 and 5:3 , 3:4 , 4:5 mem ratios. itsgreat. and well SUPER CHEAP

i've heard good things about the ever cheap chaintech 7sid also, for socket a. who needs many slots anyways... with all the stuff built into boards now, you might only need 0 to 2 slots. right now , i'm using 0 on my board, until my gf2 gts comes. then it'll still only be 1 slot;
