Is there a shot to limit a dog's shedding?

My dog is a bad shredder. I bought 1800-Pet-Meds No Shed dog pills, and they don't work. I've been giving the pills to the dog for three weeks, and he still sheds like there's no tomorrow.

Anyway, I'm curious if you know of any prescription shot that will minimize shedding. I'd like to be able to relax during the weekends instead of vacuuming all the hair.

What kind of Dog?
Seasonal thing maybe?

Try a hound's mit, and go take the dog outside and give him/ her a good rub down with it, to take off loose hair, then comb some more.

I don't know of any drugs for this, but the kind of food they eat can have some effect too.

He's getting rid of his heavier winter coat, why would you want to stop that? You want him to suffer from heat exhaustion? You go out and buy some snake-oil pet medicine from an obvious sham company that plasters bimboes all over its commercials? You probably shouldn't own a dog to begin with.

Get your dog some vitamins for a shiny coat and take him to the groomers for a close shave for the summer months. Probably do that twice for the summer. Once now and once in July. That will cut down on the shedding and your dog will love love it because he will be cooler.

If your dog is already a short haired breed then the best thing is to ask the vet about a diet supplement if anything will help that will.

I actually brush him every other day and give him a shower once a week. I also trim his hair maybe once a month. The last one was just two weeks ago. Regardless if I just trimmed his hair or not, he still sheds.
