Is there a setting or application that can give me this functionality

Is there a setting or an application that can give me this functionality:

Right click on a file on my companies server, and allow me to send a hyperlink to my co workers.

For example, everyone in my office is connected to the Z: drive

there is a file called sales.xls located at Z:\Sales\2008

I want to be able to right click on sales.xls, and see something like "copy link location", that will allow me to paste a hyperlink into an e-mail for Z:\Sales\2008\sales.xls

I know the longhand way to do it in outlook 07...
open a new message
go to the "insert" tab
select "hyperlink"
locate or type in the location of the file you want to link to

Is there a way to simplify this, and make it a right click function, similar to how you can "copy link location" in firefox for a link

If Outlook 2007 is the default mail client you *might* be able to RMB>SendTo>Mail Recipient. I know Windows Live Mail does it.

I know I can do that to send the file, but I am trying to reduce people's outlook overhead and just send the link.

I am currently sending anywhere from 20-40 50k xls files a day between my associate, myself, and my secretary.

Do that for months on end, and it adds up

Well, it might simplify things a bit for you to...

1. Right-click on the file and click Properties.
2. Select the entire line to the right of Location:
(This is not a text box, but you can select it anyway.)
3. Press Ctrl-C to copy it.

That won't do everything you wanted, but if you paste that path into the locate dialog for the email, it will get you there a little faster.
