GF wants to watch Wicked (we live in NYC).

Being a guy who always wants to discover other options (like you), is there a cheaper way to buy tickets than plain Ticketmaster?

TKTS does not apply as I'm planning a set date in the future (6/11 weekend). Unless I'm wrong about TKTS and day-of discounts.

Any help?

Secret. You can get discounted tix here:
http://www.broadwaybox.com/

Other than this website and TKTS, you can line up 45-90 minutes before the box office theater opens in the morning and purchase that day's evening performances from that day's cancellations.

I've been able to get tix to extremely popular "sold out" shows in this manner. Usually they let in 20-40 people in this manner, but get there early b/c other people line up and you may be SOL if they sell out to the early crowd in front of you before you get to the front window....then you'll be cursing to no end for being a procrastinator that morning and wasting time in line for nuttin'!

Pfff....she works on big 4 salary....she can afford it ;)

Only if you make partner... and even then it's 'barely' 120-180k IN nyc. I fucking paid $8/lb on pork loin.... for PORK WTF. Back in MA suburbs, I paid like $1.99/lb for that.

edit: just read the 3rd sentence in your OP, never mind.

you can only purchase them the day before or the day of the show, but they're up to 50% off, and you have to buy them in person (i think). I've purchased from them and the seats were awesome.

pro tip: dont go to the booth in times square, its always crowded.
