Is there a "rule"/"law" for this?

That on the internet, as a community/forum grows bigger and bigger, the greater the chances that everything will go to hell as everyone keeps trying to compete for the award of the biggest idiot?

Anandtech though, given it's tight moderation is more of an exception to the rule than anything else, but just about every other forum that I've been in, as it got more popular and bigger it just turned to absolute crap..

The Mods are what keep those idiots in check.

The load has become worse; that is why they collected additional Moderators to assist keeping the troublemakers under control.

Of course, the screw ups with Fuse Talk and the relaxed rules do not help at all.:frown:

I'll withhold my comments about the mods, but at least they do a decent job of keeping the forum's idiocy level somewhere right around "acceptable"

frankly there is a difference, but I find that the similarities are still there...

I too am slowly drifting away from this place....call it what you will (besides the bans;))

Definitely a great community when I joined, and I owe a lot to all of you:)
