They use to make them for ISA. Compaq and Solaris? I am trying to save a PCI slot and that is my justification for looking for a good combo card. Any guidance, comments, recommendations most welcome and appreciated. Thanks.
I've never heard of that combination on one card. The exception is an all-in-one motherboard, which had SCSI & Ethernet NIC, maybe sound, and a modem.
AMD used to make controller chips (AM53C974?) that handled both 10BaseT ethernet and SCSI. These were used on the old Compaq Deskpro XL systems, and perhaps some others. Haven't seen anything like this recently, however.
