Is there a reason NOT to remove fan before installing FOP32?

Is there any reason NOT to remove the heatsink fan before installing a FOP32?

I have been practicing mounting the FOP32 just using the motherboard socket with no CPu. It seems much simpler to manipulate the heatsink mounting when I remove the fan first.

Is there any reason I would NOT want to remove the fan? With the FOP's 2 wire fan clips it is easy to unclip the fan and then clip it back on after the heatsink is successfully installed. Also, I don't have to worry about messing up the hsf by accidentally putting too much pressure on the fan hub.

I took the fan off and put it back on after the heatsink was installed... otherwise it would've been a real pain.

Yeah, that's how I installed a Taisol, and then the FOP32 on my brother's computer. I did an Alpha PAL6035 the same way.
