Is there a reason for this price?

That is sufficient, but

1. that's pretty expensive, better psu's go for cheaper

2. your current power supply can probably handle it, depending on how many drives your running and intel/based pc.

EDIT: This actually looks good and sufficient. One guy say his 7800GT PCIe ran fine on it.

Reviews are pretty good on it, and the people that bought them on these forums say its rock solid.

Rails on it are pretty good, and it'll be more than enough if you want to overclock :p

Uh, I'd recommend not getting that PSU if you haven't already ordered. Thermaltake PSU's aren't that great quality, a friend of mine bought the same exact one and had problems running an AGP 6800GS. It's only got 18A on the 12V rail, and thats the bare minimum you need for a 6 series Nvidia card.

It's because it's the 256MB version of the card. Normally an 1800XT is 512MB.

I have the card and love it. I highly reccomend it but don't plan on having a quiet computer if you keep the stcok fan. IMHO a Zalman vf-700 is quite necessary.

I agree with buzzsaw, don't get this PSU.

Good choice for a video card though, I've got the 512MB version and love it. SVC has the X2 for $19.99 which cools better than the stock cooler and is almost completely silent.

Look at the pictures associated with each card. The SR model has a couple of extra pieces of software (PowerDVD and PowerDirector) and a Sapphire Select CD (a couple of free games of your choosing). If you don't want the software bundle, then get the cheaper card because it's exactly the same hardware.

Sapphire select Review.
