is there a real factory reset on the Gateway 21" Widescreen?

i just got this the other day and it was great, the colors were totaly vivid,but then something happend and the colors got real dark,i've been messing with adjusting the settings from the on screen panel but i can't seem to get it how it was before, i've tryed the factory reset options in the on screen menu but those don't seem to work, is there a manual way to reset it?
