Is there a program to OC and un-OC your CPU via hotkeys?

I've heard about ClockGen but I don't know if it does what I'm looking for, perhaps someone could enlighten me. I need an app that will link a predefined OC, preferably to both your CPU and GPU, to a game executable; the gist being that when the game .exe is launched the OC software detects it and dynamically enforces my predetermined OC settings, then when I exit the game it returns my clocks to stock.

Does such software exist?

To my knowledge, no. Any particular reason why you want to overclock only in specific applications?

Ummm..nope, I haven't heard about any piece of software capable of such things....sorry, you'll have to enter in Bios each time...life is not perfect....

AMD Cool & Quiet Kind of Does it ... but It has it's trade offs also...

There is other Throttling software out there, I just can't put a name on them right now... They used to be more popular in the old days...4-5 years ago........

Riva Tuner will Handle the GPU .....and can be configured to operate only in 2D-3D games.

Thanks for the responses guys. I did a lot of searching but couldn't come up with any apps that did stuff like this. It'd be great if something like the nHancer program for nVidia cards linked preset OC's to game executables.

Just re-open ClockGen, and put your HTT back down to 201. Problem solved.

You can use RMClock to throttle your overclock based on usage, much like C&Q. However, unlike C&Q you can specify your own multipliers and voltages.

Thats what I do and it works well, while web surfing and doing general stuff I run nice and cool slightly underclocked with less than stock volts. As soon as you run a program that pegs the CPU usage it jumps to max O/C and volts, and when it's done it drop back to the lower settings.

Wasn't quite my "dream" app but this worked pretty damn good! Thanks.

Now I was wondering, if I OC my card with RivaTuner under 3D Settings, does this mean when I quit the game (go to 2D desktop) it drops back to stock clocks? I know I use it to set different fan speeds and I can hear those changing.

How efficient is ClockGen anyway? Is it better to use an app in windows or do it in the bios?

If you leave the 2D clocks alone and don't use the option to force the card to always run at 3d clocks it will work fine.

If you have an Abit MB, then you can use the uGuru software. You can link a program to specific cpu speed settings.

Well, I've pretty much achieved what I want to with RM Clock + RivaTuner. Thanks a lot people. Still wish there was one unified app that could do this stuff, though. By the way for the person who asked why I wanted dynamic clocking it is for 2 reasons: to conserve power and to prolongue hardware lifespan.
