Is there a program that will show you graphically where bad blocks are on a HD?

I remember some ancient scanning utilities that did this but haven't seen any in a long time.

Thanks

HDD Regenerator is one of the best tech tools out there. Yes it's not cheap, but it can test any hard drive and shows you where the bad sectors and delays are.

It also repairs bad sectors as well. It's the only program i use at work to test hard drives.

Disk Scanner is a tiny freeware utility to check the hard drive for read errors. Sometimes, you may notice, that some files on the disk cannot be read. This may happen for several reasons, but the most important one is the hard drive degradation, that may be the first typical sign of the disk failure.

I ran Disk Scanner on two known bad HD's and it said there was nothing wrong with either. Seems like it is useless and irrelevant.

Defraggler.

Analyze disk. It'll show bad sectors I believe.

Any chance you can provide a link to wher eyou got this software from? Maybe I'm just being over cautious but some of the links I've found, seem to be pretty shady.

Thanks!
