Is there a product that can remotely "buzz" someone if an airconditioning system shuts down?

I do not know if this is appropriate here. So yell if it isnt.

Googling has not helped me..................

My brother in law's IT guy at his office building has his computers in, obviously, an air conditioned room. This is an older office building and they do have some electrical problems.
The air conditioning system has a built in shutoff if some electrical crap happens. (And it happens)

You must manually restart the air conditioning system. This means if this occurs during non office hours the room will reach very high temps.

He is remotely connected to monitor CPU temps and the like on the server system but would like to be notified if the AC gets shut down.

ANY THING REMOTELY LIKE THIS???

Thanks so much, Leigh

The first thing that comes to mind is an autodialer set-up. Do a google search and you will find places that sell these.

They are devices that accept discrete inputs. When an input is triggered, it causes the dialer to begin dialing a list of phone numbers. The message reported can vary by the input. Some even allow you to custom record messages for each input.

What you could do is put a high temperature switch in the room. If the temperature climbs above some set value, the switch triggers the autodialer. You may be able to use a failure alarm from the air conditioning unit to trigger the input if one exists on your AC unit. You could use an airflow switch if the AC fan runs all the time. There are lots of way of triggering the unit.
