I am a big fan of Amazon. I use it quite a bit to research items and occaisionally buy from. One night recently I must have looked at like 80-90 items and not one of them had a rating of less than 4 stars? I beginning to be very suspicious of this "rating" ... I was just curious if I am the only one who can't find something poorly rated in the "star" rating.... (Don't get me wrong I have seen some really harsh comments from some buyers but they don't seem to effect the overall rating. Really, even the 1,695,352 Sales rank items seems to have 4 to 5 stars.

OK rant over....;)

do you mean:
"Good, you're suspicious too!"

Consider this, the people who would be compelled to review the item are either those who are VERY satisified with it or very DISsatisfied with it.

Wow... I didn't even know there were 6 installments of Police Academy. Talk about beating a dead horse. I thought they made 3.

It's more likely at that rank -- then it's probably a cult musician / author, and the reviews are probably only going to come from people who know and like the artist.

But no, I see quite a few 2-4 stars, in everything from books and CDs to monitors and MP3-CD players.

5 stars is very hard to get. 4 1/2 stars, however, is rather easy.

Spiegelau by WMF 6-Ounce Port/Aperitif Glasses, Set of 6 - 1 star

I am sure that leaded glass for drinking has been shown to be very liable to result in lead in the beverage. The longer it holds the beverage, the more lead disolves. I believe these glasses are not fit for human use!

I think they made 8 actually, quite horrifically.
