The reason that i ask this is because is seems that anything using Direct3D
(3dmark 2000 and 2001, 3d demos/screensavers) runs slow/choppy. It kinda sux.

Anything using OpenGL (Q3, 3d demos, screensavers) run AWSOME! Q3 runs 5 to 10 fps better on Win2k then on win98se. (i proform my own little benchmark)

Im running Win2k (sp1) on a:
K7650
Asus K7M
256mb crucial
Geforce GTS 32mb
WD 7200 rpm HD

I am running the lastest offical Nvidia video drivers.
I am almost positive that i have all that patches/updates install.
AMD.AGP.Driver.Ver5.10_for.win2k
largePageMinimum reg edit
VIA.AGP.Chipset.Driver.Update

Does ne1 know ne tips/tricks, for my puters configeration.

thanks!

Try the beta nvidia drivers. I'm using 7.52 & they work pretty well.

Thats why i uninstalled Windows 2000, its great for OpenGL but piss poor for Direct 3D.

I don't see why its so hard to make Direct X work in Win2k.

I would suggest trying the 7.52 drivers. In my experience with win2k they are the most stable and best performing drivers available now. you can download them here or here And there are other drivers available here :p
