Is there a power cord for a dvd player for airline use?

My nephew is traveling after Christmas and wants to take his dvd player on the plane. The battery life isn't so great and would like to know if there is an airline adapter for the player. If so, where would be a good place to get it?

What does the outlet on a plane look like? Is it like a auto cigarette lighter outlet?

not all planes have power outlets available (they are very rare in economy). First make sure that the plane and airline that you are traveling on has power outlets available for your seating class.

I am traveling international on BA next week and there are no power outlets in economy. so first make sure that power outlets are available for you to use.

domestic (US) coach airplanes rarely have plugs
you just need to get an extra battery and charge it

Can't you buy one of those extra battery chargers? Like those portable cell phone chargers, but in DVD player form?
