There ARE some people out there that don't believe anything that is outside of Earth's atmosphere. For example, Mars or the Moon.

No, the Hardon Collider will do that long before Planet X gets the chance to.

There is no Planet X. Search it on Wikipedia - the whole idea of another large planet beyond Neptune was caused by Percival Lowell miscalculating Neptune's mass.

Although this doesn't seem like a serious thread :p

There are probably several thousand to tens of thousands of Pluto-sized planetoids past the orbit of Pluto. None of them could possibly travel fast enough to reach Earth's orbit by 2012. None of them could possibly support more than rudimentary life forms.

Stop worrying about Planet X, and start worrying about the solar maximum predicted for November 2012. If 2012 will have a doomsday event, it will be that.

(disclaimer, I will believe it when I see some better evidence)

There's no way that could be real. It would be too bright for no one to notice it, even if it's not emitting any light of its own. Every night, thousands of amateur astronomers are watching the sky looking for comets, asteroids, and any other celestial anomalies. What do those things all have in common? They all show themselves as faint dots on a starfield that simply don't belong due to proper motion. The most hardcore comet-searchers can point their telescopes or binoculars to any point of sky and tell if there's an impostor.

I need a refueling, I need your kiss
Come on now and plant it on my lips
I need a refueling, I need your kiss
Come on now and plant it on my lips

Whammy kiss me, whammy hug
Revitalize me, give me whammy love
Yeah, whammy kiss me, whammy hug
Revitalize me, give me whammy love

On Planet X, ohh, it won't be long now
I got a light year to get to the phone now
I'm gonna contact you when I get home

Give it all you got, give it all to me
Come on mammy and throw me that whammy
I said, "Give it all you got, give it all to me"
Come on mammy, throw me that whammy

And now I know I need that whammy kiss
Whatever you do, I'm just passing the time
To get to you to pass the time with you

He cannot stand to go into work
When he needs some whammy love
Whammy!

You gotta do it right, use it right now
I ain't foolin', give me a refuelin'
Yeah, whammy kiss me, whammy hug
Come on mammy, throw me that whammy

On Planet X, ohh, it won't be long now
I got a light year to get to the phone now
I'm gonna contact you when I get home
I ain't foolin', give me a refuelin'

And I know he needs that whammy kiss
Whatever he do, I'm just passing the time
To get to you to pass the time with you

On Planet X, ohh, it won't be long now
I got a light year to get to the phone now
I'm gonna contact you when I get home

And I know I need that whammy kiss
Whatever you do, I'm just passing the time
To get to you to pass the time with you

On Planet X

And I know he needs that whammy kiss
Whatever he do, I'm just passing the time
To get to you to pass the time with you

On Planet X, ohh, it won't be long now

If a red dwarf, it would undoubtedly already exist in star catalogs, but its true nature would only be detectable by measuring its parallax; due to orbiting the Sun it would have a very low proper motion and would escape detection by proper motion surveys that have found stars like the 9th magnitude Barnard's star.

From what I recall, planet X is actually a round rock that is remains from the planet Alderaan's explosion. It's odd that it's the only part of that planet that is visible, perhaps it's the core which may be made with harder rock or something.
