Does anyone know of an Email Client that has all of the following features?

-Leaving mail on the server for a certain number of days when using pop3.
-One click opening of mail boxes (not double click).
-Is secure
-Importing from Outlook Express (I've been using Outlook Express)

I've looked at several email clients but none of them have all 4 features:

-Outlook Express - is obviously not secure but offers all the other features
-Eudora - requires double clicking to open mail boxes (this might sound minor but it's pretty annoying)
-Netscape Mail/Opera Mail - doesn't allow leaving mail on the server for a certain # of days

Any suggestions?

Thunderbird does all that, and currently does not execute viruses common to outlook/outlook express. Some will be written for it soon enough, but for the time being, you have to move the mail to your desktop, folder, etc, and execute if you need that virus:p
The import process was painless. The junk mail filtering is great.

Thanks everyone. Thunderbird is absolutely awsome.

Although one weird thing is that it opens up a new instance of itself when u double click on a mailbox (as opposed to single click). Maybe I started double clicking on the folders because I was using Eudora for the last week but after a while I noticed that I had like 30 instances of Mozilla Thunderbird running.

I'm slowly moving to a M$ Lite computer.

By that I mean the only thing left from M$ will be the OS. Sorry... I'm just not ready to take the Linux plunge. Too much gaming.

How does Thunderbird sync to a pocketPC? Will that work at all? Or am I best off to stick with outlook and drop the rest of the office suite?

thunderbird is awesome, but can someone explain why, in the message list if you right click on a message (the context menu) it STILL does not have "create filter for message" or whatever it says....that item is under the "Message" menu item, but not in the context menu. why?!?

Did you file a bug report or even look to see if it's already been filed?

outlook will do all those.

But the OP said:

And he's right.
And you didn't read the reply that was offered. Note the lack of the word "Express". He was probably referring to the full blown version of Outlook. Outlook 2003 is much more secure (at least so far in my experience. But then, I have never once gotten hit by any Outlook/Outlook Express virus, trojan, or other. And the new Spam filters seem to work great in 2003. Anyhow, the point is moot, as he is useing Thunderbird.

Well, yeah. It is costly. But "free/inexpensive" wasn't one of the requirements. ;) Though I am glad he found an option that was free and met his requirements.
