I've got some LCD monitors from 1999 and I only realized/remembered that they had large bezels when some one mentioned them when I was posting pics of my desk setup. I now see these dell monitors and the bezel has shrunk significantly but not entirely and so I'm wondering if it is truely necessary to have such a large bezel or not. Is there an advantage to having a large bezel? Is it to mask the fact that the monitor has a low viewing area? Having a large bezel is a BAD THING when working with dual or tri or quad or how ever many screens you have because it makes a large picture look less contiguous...
