Hrmm, I don't recall this from AP psychology...

Let's say a person creates an event (in his mind) that did not happen but continues to think about it constantly to the point where he believes that it really did occur. This would be similar to hypochondria but supplanting the disease with an "event". Is there a term for this? Perhaps a variant of obsessive compulsive?
