Is there a log of remote access?

I've been asked to check on an employee who claims he been doing alot of work from home. Is there a log that will show how often the user is actually using Remote Access to connect to our server?

Windows Server 2003 Small Business.

I thought about checking the firewall, but it only shows last 24 hours, I need info from last 2 weeks if possible.

You are going to have to set up auditing of account log on, folder access, etc. After that is done, you should be able to go into your event viewer, check the security logs, and it will show when the user logs on.

The SBS 2003 Server Usage Report (that, by default, is generated and emailed every two weeks), gives a detailed list of remote access, by user, connections, and average time connected. Have you turned on Monitoring and Reporting on your Server?

Remote Connection Activity by User
User Name ---Total Connections--- Average Time---Average Connections per Day

You can generate a new report with three mouse-clicks from the Server Management Screen of SBS.

Yes, thank you, I just got that setup last night. Today it keeps saying that a report is not available yet, but last night it mentioned that data was collected hourly. I guess I should just be patient.

I am using reporting, but the USage report does not list Remote connection Activity By User.

I've inlcuded a list of possible reporting statistics, but I'm not sure how to add more. the few with astrics are currently reporting.
