Is there a LOG file to see who logged onto your computer

Ok, so at our mortgage company, we leave this primary system locked with default windows login. However, when we came back into work, we found somebody opened up some applications and messed around with our mail (outlook).

Is there some sort of log FILE we can check up on?

 
If you found that someone had logged in an messed with the programs, couldn't you just check to see which account was currently logged in?
