Is there a Linux fan speed program?

I don't know if this should be in software or here so sorry.

I have an HP computer and it doesnt adjust the fan till the temp is at about 60C+ which is too high for my tastes. In WinXP I just use Speedfan and turn the speed up to keep it around 50C but is there a program that does similar in Linux?

I'll try that one.

BTW its an MSI RS480M2-IL board if that helps anyone.

Edit: that didnt work it installed fine but wont run(unless sensors inst the exe). forgive me but I am half a noob when it comes to linux I ran it for a year and a half back in 2001 but I never needed fan speed program before and never did get the hang of where things went when you type make install. Also I am typing this from my newly installed Fedora core 5.
