Is there a limit to how many posts a thread can have?

I am refering to this thread it has 4506 posts in it, and when I hit page 46 (I have 100 posts per page) there is nothing on the page. Any idea why it is like that

Nope just limited by the size of the HDD it sits on.

i get that every once in awhile. Just go back a page and everything is fine. FYI, there is no limit...i've seen it on two and three page threads.

when threads get long the page count becomes inaccurate

yeah thats what I figured, I was just wondering cause every time I hit last, it goes to page 46, and there is nothing on it.
