Is there a higher capacity laptop battery than 4400 mAh?

I have an IBM Thinkpad T22 and will be traveling a lot in the coming weeks, so I was thinking I should get the strongest battery available.
Or do I already have the strongest battery available?

Thanks in advance🙂

Wow, I just tried calling IBM themselves, and the first customer service moron said only standard 3600 mAh batteries were available (when I'm running a 4400 mAh specifically for the Thinkpad T22, available from a number of retailers), and another, even bigger moron was unable to tell me anything at all about the T22 without a serial number.

Why do computer companies employ such profoundly unknowledgable people?!! Frustrating!!!

TO answer your question generically - yes. I don't know about the T22, but my HP 6 cell battery is rated at 4400 mAh, and I also have a 12 cell which has real legs - obviously greater than 4400. HP does not cite mAh, but rather how many hours doing specific things. Example, the 12 cell, fully charged and reasonably new, can run a DVD movie for 4 hours.

Look for cell count - there are 6 cell, 8 cell,
and 12 cell batteries.

I just returned home from a two and half day travel session, and rarely used battery power.
