is there a hack driver or tweaking on modem?

depending on exactly what you're trying to do, there's more than likely an init string that will do it

Tweaking the modem itself would be a waste if time, The main limitation is the phoneline, The best you can do is ajust the software to cope (eg. packet ajusting...life...)
The Isa port can easly handle 1000 times what a modem can put through it.
