Is there a gore mod for half life 2?

I'm not looking for something too over the top, just a mod that would make enemy bodies take damage after they die. When I'm still shooting a bad guy as he falls to the floor, he doesn't take any visible damage. It just annoys me that the game does this. I know it will decrease performance to have more blood. I've looked on google and found many mod lists but none for this. Or is there just a command I can enter in the console?
