is there a good program for keeping track of project information, marking up documents, etc?

I'm looking for something that will combine all the material I use when I'm working on a school project or essay into a common bank of information....something where I can easily keep track of sources, mark them up, take notes on them, etc
in short, I'm looking for something to organize it all and centralize it
there's got to be something like this....what should I look at?

You just beat me to it.

OneNote is very cool for that sort of thing. You can actually play with it early if you can find someone with a TabletPC. ;)

It's not 100% the same as the one that's coming, but it's very similar.

Some of the people I support use SureTrak by Primavera. I've never really used it?or Project for that matter?but at least it's an alternative to check out.
