Hey Guys,
Quick question. I've been running my MS6321 without any problems for sometime now. I just put up a system with the Abit KT7A-Raid and a Tbird 1Ghz and the same power supply. When I start up the computer, I don't get anything - no post, nothing. What I have to do is manually go and turn off the power switch on the power supply itself, then turn on the machine for it to post. I have to do this everytime I start up the machine.
What could it be? I've got 300 watts, and I think that would be plenty of power. Is there any reason I would need a 400W power supply? Or a different brand power supply? If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them ..
thanks,
ed

I completely know the problem. I myself just built my KT7 motherboard PC. What it is, your processor is clocked at 500MHZ. You need to go into the cmos setup and put it at 1.1GHZ or what ever processor speed it's suppose to be. That will definitely fix the problem. Has nothing to do with the power supply.

I have the same board and had the same problem. You need to do a few things. I'm not insulting your intelligence by any means...just telling you what worked for me. First off, ensure that you don't have an extra brass standoff or wayward screw shorting the underside of the mobo to the case. That done:

1. Unplug power supply

2. Make sure cpu is seated correctly

3. Make sure the CPU HSF is plugged into the #1 fan header. The #1 header IS NOT the one physically closest to the CPU socket, it's the other one. (They are labeled on the board, but you need a magnifying glass to see it. The Award BIOS will shut down the board to prevent frying the CPU if no fan is plugged into the #1 header

4. Check all power and data cable connections on all your drives. I had a loose floppy IDE cable and didn't know it

5. Remove and reseat all memory. My one 256mb stick was not all the way in...new board, tight socket

6. Reset CMOS. Your mobo manual will show you where the jumper is...takes 10 seconds from start to finish.

Boot up. I did all of the above after thinking my board was fried and I'm fine now.
