Is there a good piece of email tracking software available?

I keep getting Klez viruses in emails on a daily basis and I wondered if there was a way to track where these emails are coming from?

Is there a piece of software available that will do this for me?

TIA,

Sal

You'll want an email app that lets you see the mails headers - all somewhat decent ones do, I don't know if that includes Outlook. The header entry you're looking for is "Return- Path:" (as opposed to "From:").

I just installed Viruscan 7.0 and it gives me any source filename, and that is recorded also in ChoiceMail. Had an attempt today from tealred@naplesnews.com - and it was blocked and destroyed. I then was able to send an email to the host (a legitimate Florida newspaper) and advise them that someone on their staff or a "freemail" client was infected with the Klez-H virus.

It had to be deliberate because I am in no one's address book in Naples, FL. But . . . it could also be a hacker using a cover return address.
