Yes, I must sincerely apologize for starting it all by asking a simple PS3 question. :shocked:

I actually had another question I was going to post about whether it was wise to purchase an extended warranty for my PS3 (5 yrs. for $48) but I had better not ... imagine the "flameage" that would ensue. 😉

I wouldn't do it. You buy insurance for things that would put you in a tough spot financially if you had to pay for it yourself. Extended warranties for electronics are USUALLY a bad idea (Xbox 360 would be one obvious exception)

Yeah, I wouldn't do it either. The PS3 is reliable enough that if something freak happened to it, I'd just accept it and pay for a repair or replacement.

And I'm really sorry for everybody behaving like a complete idiot.
