Is there a free Wav to MP3 converter??

First: Burning WAV to CD will _not_ cause a drop in quality.

Second: Encoding to MP3 will cause a quality loss no matter how you do it.

Third: How have you been here since 1999 and not heard about EAC and LAME? LAME works perfectly fine with WAV files. Use the RazorLame front-end if you want a GUI.
