Do curbside check in.

Or if it is an eticket go to the eticket express line.

Any way to convert your luggage into a carry-on? If so, then lots of places have an express line where you just print out your boarding pass.

I don't believe you can print out your bording pass early if you are checking luggage. I'm sure it varies by airline. Some airlines still don't have the option of printing out your bording passes yet.

Use the e-ticket kiosks. Every airport I've been in (and that's alot), things always go alot quicker when they have ample e-ticket kiosks.

Depends on the airline. Delta, for instance, allows you to print your boarding card online but if you need to check luggage then you need to use the kiosk at the airport to check-in. This is because the luggage tag, due to its long length and stickyness, cannot be self-printed. But the kiosks are normally equipped to do this on the spot.

eticket is usually an express line of somesort, but it depends on the airline and the airport.

if you're not checking luggage then you won't have to go through all the crap

Just do what every other jackass does and try to bring everything on, no matter how huge the bag, on the flight as carry on. :|

Having just come from a visit to Beijing (expereinced -14 C) all I can advise is.... layers. Lots and lots of layers. Don't forget about your legs. Thermals are a godsend when that wind hits you!

as stated above, you probably won't be able to print your boarding pass early as you are checking luggage. i'm not sure if the e-ticket kiosks will be available for you if that's the case. usually, that's for folks who aren't checking luggage, but sometimes, some kiosks let you specify how many pieces you are going to check, and then you'll wait on a shorter line and drop off the luggage before heading to the gate.
