Is there a driver for Core 2 Duo?

You sure you have a core 2 duo and not a core 2 solo? My duo shows up in Windows XP SP2 clean install (no drivers) as two CPU Usage History graphs.

Is there a driver or anything of the like? In Task Manager I only see status grid.

Under the view menu, 'one graph per cpu'. If that option isn't enabled, your on the single proc hal (which means you must have done a chip switch from an existing single proc install). If so, do a repair install over your existing one.

Just to clarify for you, there is no Core 2 Solo. There is a Core Solo and a single core Celeron based off of Conroes, but no Core 2 Solo.

Actually there are, they just aren't out for public consumption yet, so doubtfull that is what the OP is running.

If you didnt reinstall xp when you installed your new core2duo processor you wont get them.

This presumes the prior proc wasn't multicore and the single proc hal is instaled. At this point, two reasonable solutions (one a ui issue, the other a reinstall) have been provided, but we need the OP to chime in with more data.

Ya, guys, this was a clean install. I saw a post somewhere that said there was an app that needed to be run to 'truly' be on 2 cores. I had never heard of such a thing so I asked. If it's just a setting in Task Manager, I'll check it out. Just wondering if this person was correct.
