No, I'm not asking for medical advice...but I am going to bitch and moan a bit.
My crown on my lower left side has been hurting a little for about 10 days and got MUCH worse over the weekend. So I go see the dentist first thing Monday morning and he says the x-rays look good but I do have some cracked teeth. He says I probably clench when I sleep. (I have three crowns and they are all from pieces breaking off my molars, not cavities.)
He gives me some vicodin and says come back in four days if its not better.
Last night (as with the previous night) I had to get out of bed to take vicodin and advil it hurt so much, and my lower lip was even asleep. There is something in there causing pressure on a nerve, duh, and now both the underside of my mandible and side hurt to the touch.
Fook, must be an abcess eh? I have a high tolerance for pain but this is absurd.
Oh, and the first day I throw up five times from the damn pain pills. (pain pills and I have never played nicely together.)
Cliff's Notes:
[*]Pain starts in old (~5yr) crown.
[*]Dentist says I clench my teeth, sends me home with vicodin after x-rays and exam.
[*]Pain much worse over last two days, even causes numbness in lip at times.
[*]Seeing a different dentist today.
[*]I'm probably going to die, and you are all invited to my funeral. (first-come first-serve on my tech stuff. Should this be posted in Hot Deals?)
