I am buying a DVD Player and want to be able to play all of my SVCD Movies on it.
The one i want to get, Sony DVP-NS725P, has the following compatibilies:

plays DVD-Video, DVD-R & DVD-RW, DVD+R & DVD+RW, and Video CD
plays CD, CD-R & CD-RW, and MP3 CD-R & CD-RW

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I bought a Sony dvd player a while back and it said it would play VCD but guess what? It wouldn't play CDR. It would only play pressed VCD disks. I'll never buy Sony electronics again besides maybe a PS3 or something.

So its Sony's fault you can't read the specs of a DVD player?

I have a Sony DVD player and it plays everything. It is fantastic.
