Is there a difference between Photoshop 8 and CS?

Is there a difference between Photoshop 8 and CS, or are they the same thing? If they are different, what differences can be found between the two?

Photoshop CS IS Photoshop 8. Adobe is mimicing Macromedia's branding of all their apps last year as they standardized version names to "MX" - e.g. Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX - and they want people to buy their whole "Creative Suite" which promises a lot of interoperability between apps.

An accurate question is what's the difference between PS7 and PS CS and the answer is plenty, foremost the inclusion of the Camera RAW plugin which was a $99 extra before.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. A Photoshop know-it-all (please note my sarcasm) here at work claimed there was a difference between CS and 8, but she couldn't tell me what it was. And she has a tendency to lie about everything, and make up things so she sounds smart.
