Is there a device that can stream TV and HDTV to other TV's and to a PC?

How can I share my TV shows, both SD and HD with other TV's and computers? Is that even possible? I have DirecTV.

Mr. Paranoid! The device Deeko speaks of is made with hazardous chemicals, and also contains components that may explode when vibrated even the slightest bit.

Slingbox is a good product. As far as sharing with other TVs, this may be a stretch. You'd be better off paying for either an HTPC to hookup to another TV, paying for an additional receiver, or perhaps getting an RF extender for your remote and splitting the signal between your DirectTV unit and running it to a second TV.

The RF extender would allow you to change channels with a second remote from another room in the house. Leapfrog makes a good one for around $30 if you look...here's a slightly pricier one: http://www.federalstereo.com/lfrca.html

Edit: This is what I was thinking of...check buy or amazon: http://www.federalstereo.com/lfirx.html

Of course! Don't watch TV. That way, the mind controlling wave patterns they subliminally broadcast won't contaminate your precious bodily fluids.

So far there is no device I am aware of that will take component video input into a PC to cap from a DirecTV HD DVR that doesn't cost upwards of $600-$1000 or better. I have been searching for a long time because I have HD recordings I would like to offload to my computer.

If you can wait a while, next update to Vista Media Center should support these devices. Assuming the media extenders/360 are updated to playback the mpeg4/h.264 content encoded by them, a Vista box with one of these tuners/encoders, extenders on your TVs, and a wireless-N network should do it.

Wow that must be new. I am downloading the manual now to see if it does what I want to do but it certainly looks like it fits the bill.

FYI, the HD PVR is backordered until late July right now. BeyondTV and Sage already have builds that support if natively if you're interested.
