I know about youtube videos but I am just curious if a website exists that shows videos of your specific car and model for do-it-yourself oil changes, filter changes etc. etc.

Any links?

Go to YouTube and try that. I've seen many YouTube videos that will walk you right through many installs. If you don't find your exact model: Say you have a Dodge Grand Caravan, make sure you also check the sister vehicle being the Chrysler Town and Country. Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, etc etc.

Do you find it better than a Chilton?

Sorry, but that Chilton reference just made me chuckle a little.

Honestly, if you want a book(s) that tells you how to work on your vehicle, look no further than the factory service manual. Yes, you can buy them. They're written by the guys who built the vehicle, so the details about repairing, etc., your vehicle far surpasses any Chilton or Haynes or other manual. (And you'll find the factory service manual will also have better pics and line drawings than any Chilton/Haynes and LOTS more of them.)

But the factory service manuals aren't the cheapest things around...usually 2 or 3 or even 4 volumes to cover the vehicle, with electrical and emissions usu. in separate volumes, as compared to 500 pages in a Chilton trying to cover everything.

And remember, instead of the manuals being written by those who built the vehicle, Chilton's uses the "we take it apart and figure it out...sorta" system. Not horrible, but not the best way to get the info about how the car's built and how to take care of it.

Yeah, I've been pretty unhappy with the last couple Chilton's I've bought. I know you can buy the service manuals, but generally they are fairly expensive, where this website isn't much more than a Chilton's.

This really falls into what car you are looking for fix.

Finding most common cars have specific forums should be easy, many people on there do DIY photos and etc. Some have forums but they aren't very active or good with pictures.
