is there a company that designs the new Alienware cases?

Those bastards at Alienware don't sell the cases seperately or sell barebones. I was wondering if anyone know if a seperate company designs and produces the cases for them or if Alienware makes those cases themselves. I'd love to get one of those cases but not for the price Alienware is charging for their PCs.

Chenming makes the chassis... the bezel and whatever else was probably designed by Alienware and is exclusive only to them. This is the result of having the same Chieftec/Antec clone that everyone now has... which made it hard to distinguish an Alienware to the general public.

So, they are "bastards" but you want to buy and display their product? They aren't "bastards", they are protecting their product. They designed the bezel and want their case to be filled with their chosen components. It's called "business". Dell doesn't sell their cases seperately? Neither does Compaq. Nor does Gateway. Get over it. Relax. And frankly, my opinion is that they are ugly. On the bright side, you can get one free, with the purchase of an Alienware-built computer. Of course, maybe someone who spent ~$3000 for an Alienware computer, doesn't want the case (In which case, why they did not build the computer themselves and save some money, I am not sure. Except maybe for the support etc).

I really like the voodoopc cases, just mainly coolermasters with nice paint jobs... like falcon NW.

Have you tried checking Directon? It looks like they are planning on carrying a case that is very similar to the Alienware one.
