I know you're entitled to a free copy if you get turned down for credit, but I don't have the time to apply for a $500K loan for a luxury yacht. I need a copy now.

It's $30 (+ tax probably  ) at Equifax.

Is there a cheaper way?

Go to the site already posted. Here it is again:

http://www.annualcreditreport.com/

It's working, I'm there now.

Edit: You can do it with Free Credit Report.com (I did it once before the federal version went up), but it requires you enroll in a free trial of some credit managment program through them. You have to call to cancle it, it's not automated, and you must listen to pitches for 3-4 different programs before you can finally cancle it.

Thanks, MrBond. I still get a "The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. " error, even w/my firewall deactivated. I dunno what's wrong.

That's kind of strange - got another computer you can try? I wouldn't do it from a public terminal (except maybe to check to see if the site is up). There may be a wire crossed somewhere.

When you get the free credit report from annualcreditreport each company will give you the option to buy your score. I just did it the other day and Equifax was $5.95 (I think)
