gee theres really not much to what you are asking about. The cel633 is a cel2 so it needs a p3 370 socket.A ppga cel board wont do,not without a powerleap 370 adapter. So you need a recent mo/bo,or the correct adapter.I have that same cpu on a slocket, which is the type adapter required to run a fcpga cpu on a slot1 mo/bo.So with out telling me what type mo/bo you have,I cant help you. Then once thats over with, you simply go into the cmos at bootup and set the front side bus speed to 100mhz.This pushes the cpu to 9.5x100=950mhz.I recommend a motherboard that has the softmenu for the express purpose of setting the front side bus.I like abit motherboards,I also like Asus. Pc100 ram works fine,as all you are doing is going to the 100mhz speed.I use the stock cooler that came with my retail633,which I got from onvia.com.So I would think that the asus cus2 or the new abit bx-raid would be good for a motherboard,I use the old abit bh6,with its bios flashed to the ss ver.But if you need a board, get a newer one.Good luck.

Just about any BX motherboard. a good slotket MSI6905 is the best (onvia.com in stock).
set to coppermine 256,100 FSB OVERCLOCK, pick a voltage between 1.7 and 1.9 and try it.

if its unstable keep upping the voltage to 1.9V :)

simple stuff.
btw the 633 runs at 950 /100fsb.

had my celeron 633 machine running Win2k for the past 2 days and I finally overclocked it.
I am currently at 950 mhz at 1.65 volts using the retail intel hs and fan
using MBM 4 my CPU is at 28C and the MB is at 27C all this on a ABIT VH6 Motherboard

Time to run some tests to see if this is really stable :)

Im really impressed with this chip easiest overclock since my 300a @ 450 :D

I am running my Celeron II 566 @ 892 mhz @ 1,75 volt with standard heatsink/fan. Did this right out of the box.

blayze, mind if you tell me what sort of ram you are using? brand, capacity, voltage, etc? and also, if you dont mind, approx how much you paid for the mb,cpu, ram ?

(just for the record, i looked around on pricewatch.com and found that: an abit vh6 runs about $98 (86 + 12 s&h) forgot where....
an oem celeron 633 aprx $95 (84 + 10.55) jcshopper.com
an oem pc133 256 RAM stick $183(173 + 10.55) jcshopper.com
total $376

not sure if you have to pay the 10.55 charge for each item on that site. anyone have any ideas on the s&h? btw, has anyone else found better deals so far? i'm really bad at shopping for items, as i usually just buy the first thing i see <insert male stereotype joke here> and therefore would really appreciate any advice anyone has. thnks:) ;)

you don't need pc-133 with the celeron, good CAS2 pc-100 would be a better choice.
(unless your gonna foot the cash for cas2 pc133).

pc-133 thats CAS3 may not run cas2 @ 100, believe it or not.

my CPU came from Buy.com and the RAM and Board from
Computersupersale.com
I got the ram thats PC100 and 85.99 dollars :)
anyway it isn't totally stable at 1.65 volts I'm going to have to increase the voltage but I haven't had time to tweak it this week. I hope to get to it sometime this weekend though.
