My wife is Japanese and we burn a lot of her music to MP3 so she can get more CDs on one disc.

The problem is all my ripping software converts the Japanese titles fine, but all the burning software I tried changes the Kanji into question marks like:
07 中村 由利子 - 陽だまりの公園で {Memories Of A Sunny Park}
becomes
07 ??? ??? - ???????

it drops off the english part totally then.

I am open to paying for something if that's what it takes.

I am running Windows 7 32bit

You need to pick a file system that supports unicode characters (joliet/udf) when burning the cds, and make sure devices that read the cds can read the file system.

There are many excellent cd/dvd burning software, e.g. CDBurnerXP. Here is a clear guide explaining what are different file systems, http://cdburnerxp.se/help/appendices/filesystem.
